Shipping policy
Last Updated: 18 July 2026
At Shairaa, we aim to process, dispatch and deliver every order safely and within the estimated timeline. This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains our order-processing times, delivery estimates, shipping charges, tracking process and the responsibilities applicable to orders placed through our website.
By placing an order with Shairaa, you agree to the terms stated in this Policy.
1. Shipping Coverage
Shairaa currently ships orders across serviceable locations within India.
Delivery availability may depend on:
- The customer’s PIN code;
- Courier serviceability;
- Product availability;
- Order value;
- Payment method;
- Security or fraud-verification requirements; and
- Restrictions imposed by courier partners or government authorities.
If an address is not serviceable, we may contact the customer for an alternative delivery address or cancel the affected order and issue the applicable refund.
2. Shipping Charges
Shairaa offers free standard shipping on all orders within India, unless a different shipping charge is expressly displayed during checkout or stated as part of a specific product, promotion or delivery service.
Additional charges may apply for:
- Express or priority shipping;
- Cash-on-delivery services;
- Special handling;
- Remote-location delivery;
- Reshipping an undelivered order;
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery information; or
- Any optional service selected by the customer.
All applicable charges will be disclosed before the order is confirmed wherever reasonably possible.
3. Order Processing Time
Orders are ordinarily processed within 1 business day after successful order confirmation and payment verification.
Orders placed on Sundays, public holidays or outside normal business hours may begin processing on the next business day.
Processing may take longer for:
- High-demand products;
- Sale or promotional periods;
- Newly launched collections;
- Customised or personalised products;
- Products requiring alteration or resizing;
- Bulk orders;
- Orders requiring customer verification;
- Orders containing multiple products from different fulfilment locations; or
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
The processing period is separate from the estimated delivery period.
4. Order Verification
Shairaa may verify an order before processing or dispatch.
Verification may be conducted through:
- Telephone call;
- SMS;
- WhatsApp;
- Email;
- One-time password;
- Address confirmation; or
- Payment verification.
This process may be used particularly for:
- Cash-on-delivery orders;
- High-value orders;
- Unusually large orders;
- Orders with incomplete addresses;
- Orders flagged by fraud-prevention systems; or
- Customers with repeated failed-delivery history.
Failure to complete the required verification may result in delayed dispatch or cancellation.
5. Estimated Delivery Timelines
After dispatch, standard delivery is ordinarily estimated as follows:
|
Delivery Region |
Estimated Delivery Time |
|---|---|
|
North India |
3–4 business days |
|
South India |
4–5 business days |
|
West India |
4–5 business days |
|
East India |
4–6 business days |
|
North-East India |
5–7 business days |
|
Remote or limited-service locations |
6–10 business days |
These timelines begin from the date of dispatch and not from the date on which the order was placed.
The estimated delivery date shown during checkout, on the product page or in an order communication is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery deadline.
6. Business Days
For the purpose of this Policy, “business days” ordinarily exclude:
- Sundays;
- National holidays;
- Public holidays at the fulfilment or delivery location;
- Courier non-operational days; and
- Days affected by strikes, government restrictions or similar interruptions.
7. Express or Priority Shipping
Express or priority shipping may be available for selected products and serviceable locations.
Availability, additional charges and delivery timelines will be confirmed separately.
Customers requiring urgent delivery should contact Shairaa before placing the order. A request for urgent delivery will not be considered accepted unless expressly confirmed by Shairaa in writing.
Shairaa cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date for weddings, festivals, birthdays, travel or other events unless a guaranteed delivery service has been expressly accepted by us.
8. Dispatch Confirmation and Tracking
Once an order has been dispatched, the customer may receive a tracking number or tracking link through:
- Email;
- SMS;
- WhatsApp;
- Customer account; or
- The order-tracking page on our website.
Customers may track their orders through:
Tracking information may take up to 24–48 hours after dispatch to become active on the courier partner’s system.
A temporary delay in tracking updates does not necessarily mean that the shipment has stopped moving.
9. Courier Partners
Orders may be shipped through courier or logistics providers selected by Shairaa according to:
- Delivery location;
- Package weight;
- Product value;
- Service availability;
- Expected delivery performance; and
- Operational requirements.
Customers may not always be able to select a particular courier partner.
Shairaa may change the assigned courier partner before dispatch where reasonably necessary.
10. Accurate Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details, including:
- Recipient’s full name;
- House, flat, shop or building number;
- Street or locality;
- Landmark;
- City;
- State;
- Correct PIN code;
- Active mobile number; and
- Any delivery instructions reasonably required to locate the address.
Customers should review the shipping information shown in the order confirmation and promptly report any error.
Shairaa will not be responsible for a delay, failed delivery or loss resulting from an incorrect, incomplete or outdated address provided by the customer, except where the error was caused by Shairaa.
11. Address Changes
A delivery address may be changed only before the order has been processed or dispatched.
Address-change requests should be sent immediately with the relevant order number.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that the address will be changed. The change will be effective only after confirmation from Shairaa.
Once an order has been dispatched:
- The delivery address may not be changeable;
- The courier may refuse redirection;
- Additional redirection charges may apply; or
- The parcel may need to return to Shairaa before being shipped again.
12. Delivery Attempts
Courier partners will ordinarily make delivery attempts according to their internal procedures.
The customer should:
- Keep the registered mobile number active;
- Respond to courier calls or messages;
- Be available at the delivery address;
- Arrange for an authorised recipient if unavailable; and
- Provide reasonable assistance in locating the address.
The courier may not be able to make repeated or unlimited delivery attempts.
Failure to respond or remain available may result in the package being marked undelivered and returned to Shairaa.
13. Delivery to an Authorised Recipient
A package may be delivered to:
- The customer;
- A family member;
- An employee;
- A receptionist;
- A security guard;
- A neighbour;
- An authorised representative; or
- Another person reasonably available at the delivery address.
Delivery to such a person may be treated as successful delivery unless the customer provided different written instructions that were accepted by Shairaa before dispatch.
Customers should use a secure delivery address where an authorised person will be available to receive the package.
14. Delivery OTP and Verification
Some orders may require an OTP, identification check, signature or another form of delivery confirmation.
The customer should share the delivery OTP only when:
- The courier agent is physically present;
- The package has been received; and
- The customer is satisfied that the correct shipment is being handed over.
A customer should not share an OTP merely because a courier agent states that it is required for an attempted delivery.
Once the delivery OTP is shared and the courier records successful delivery, the shipment may be treated as delivered.
15. Delivery Delays
Delivery timelines may be affected by circumstances including:
- Severe weather;
- Floods, fires or natural disasters;
- Strikes or labour disruptions;
- Public holidays and festivals;
- Courier network congestion;
- Road closures or transport disruptions;
- Government restrictions;
- Security checks;
- Remote-location serviceability;
- Incorrect address or contact details;
- Customer unavailability;
- Payment or order verification;
- Epidemics or public health emergencies;
- Customs inspections, where applicable;
- Technical failures; or
- Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Shairaa will make reasonable efforts to assist with delayed shipments but cannot guarantee an exact delivery date where the delay is outside its control.
16. Orders Containing Multiple Products
Products in the same order may sometimes be:
- Packed separately;
- Dispatched on different dates;
- Shipped through different courier partners; or
- Delivered in multiple packages.
The customer will not ordinarily be charged additional standard shipping merely because Shairaa divides an order into multiple shipments.
Separate tracking details may be issued for each package.
17. Inspection at Delivery
Customers should inspect the outer package before accepting delivery wherever reasonably possible.
Do not accept the package if it appears:
- Opened;
- Torn;
- Crushed;
- Wet;
- Resealed;
- Materially damaged; or
- Otherwise tampered with.
Where possible, the customer should:
- Refuse the visibly tampered package;
- Record photographs or a video;
- Note the reason for refusal with the courier; and
- Contact Shairaa promptly.
Accepting a visibly damaged package may affect our ability to establish whether damage occurred before or after delivery, although it does not remove any mandatory legal right.
18. Unboxing Video
Customers are strongly advised to record a clear, continuous and unedited unboxing video for every order.
An unboxing video is required for claims relating to:
- Missing items;
- Empty packages;
- Incorrect products;
- Incorrect quantities;
- Damaged products;
- Broken products; or
- Tampered packages.
The video should:
- Begin before the shipping package is opened;
- Clearly show the shipping label;
- Show all sides of the sealed package;
- Capture the complete opening process without cuts or pauses; and
- Clearly display the product and the claimed issue.
Claims must be submitted according to the timelines and conditions specified in the Shairaa Return, Exchange, Refund and Cancellation Policy.
19. Delayed but In-Transit Orders
An order will not be treated as lost merely because it is delivered later than the original estimate.
If tracking shows that a shipment remains in transit, Shairaa may raise an investigation with the courier partner.
Courier investigations may require additional time. A replacement or refund will ordinarily be considered only after:
- The courier confirms loss;
- The package is returned to Shairaa;
- The shipment remains untraceable beyond a reasonable investigation period; or
- Another resolution is required under applicable law.
20. Marked Delivered but Not Received
If tracking shows “delivered” but the customer has not received the package, the customer should:
- Check with family members, employees, neighbours, reception and security personnel;
- Review any delivery call, message, OTP or proof of delivery;
- Verify the shipping address entered in the order; and
- Contact Shairaa within 24 hours of the delivery status update.
Shairaa may raise an investigation with the courier and request:
- Written confirmation from the customer;
- Identity verification;
- Delivery OTP details;
- CCTV footage, where available;
- A copy of the delivery communication; or
- Other reasonable information.
Claims reported after an unreasonable delay may be difficult to investigate.
21. Undeliverable Orders
An order may be treated as undeliverable if:
- The address is incomplete or incorrect;
- The customer cannot be contacted;
- The customer is unavailable during delivery attempts;
- Entry to the delivery location is restricted;
- The customer fails to provide a required OTP;
- The customer requests an unauthorised address change;
- The location is outside courier serviceability;
- The recipient refuses to accept the package; or
- The courier is otherwise unable to complete delivery.
An undeliverable package may be returned to Shairaa as a Return to Origin shipment.
22. Return to Origin
“Return to Origin” or “RTO” means that a shipment has been returned to Shairaa without successful delivery.
For a prepaid order returned due to an incorrect address, customer unavailability, refusal, failed verification or another reason attributable to the customer:
- The order may be reshipped after payment of the applicable reshipping charges; or
- The order may be cancelled after the package returns to Shairaa.
If cancelled, the actual forward-shipping, return-to-origin, handling or other non-refundable logistics costs may be deducted from the refundable amount where legally permissible.
The remaining approved amount will be processed after the returned package is received and inspected.
23. Refusal of Delivery
Customers should not refuse a shipment merely because they have changed their mind after dispatch.
If a customer refuses a prepaid order without a verified fault attributable to Shairaa:
- The package may be returned to origin;
- Forward and return logistics charges may be deducted;
- The refund, if applicable, will be processed only after receipt and inspection; and
- Promotional benefits may be recalculated.
If a cash-on-delivery order is refused without reasonable cause, Shairaa may:
- Restrict cash-on-delivery on future orders;
- Require prepaid payment;
- Cancel pending cash-on-delivery orders; or
- Restrict the customer account in cases of repeated misuse.
24. Reshipping an Undelivered Order
An undelivered order may be reshipped only after:
- The package has returned to Shairaa;
- The customer confirms the correct delivery information;
- Any applicable reshipping charge is paid;
- The product remains available and fit for resale; and
- Shairaa approves the reshipment.
A new delivery timeline will apply from the date of redispatch.
Free standard shipping on the original order does not necessarily include a second shipment caused by incorrect information, non-availability or refusal by the customer.
25. Lost Shipments
If a courier partner confirms that a prepaid shipment has been lost before delivery, Shairaa may provide:
- A replacement;
- A redispatch;
- A refund; or
- Another appropriate resolution.
The resolution may depend on product availability and the findings of the courier investigation.
For cash-on-delivery orders lost before delivery, the order may be cancelled or replaced without collecting payment for the lost shipment.
26. Damaged Shipments
If a product is delivered damaged, incorrect or incomplete, the customer must submit a claim according to the Shairaa Return, Exchange, Refund and Cancellation Policy.
The customer should retain:
- The product;
- Outer shipping package;
- Inner packaging;
- Shipping label;
- Invoice;
- Tags and accessories; and
- The complete unboxing video.
The product should not be used, altered, repaired or discarded while the claim is under review.
27. Customer-Requested Delivery Date
A requested delivery date is treated as a preference unless Shairaa expressly confirms a guaranteed delivery arrangement.
Shairaa will not be responsible for losses arising from a package not arriving before:
- A wedding;
- Birthday;
- Festival;
- Ceremony;
- Travel date;
- Gift occasion; or
- Other personal event
where no guaranteed delivery commitment was expressly accepted.
Customers should place time-sensitive orders sufficiently in advance.
28. Customs, Duties and International Shipping
International shipping may be offered only where expressly available on the website or confirmed by Shairaa.
For international orders:
- Shipping charges will be displayed or communicated separately;
- Delivery timelines may be affected by customs inspections;
- Import duties, taxes, customs charges and brokerage fees may apply;
- Such charges are ordinarily payable by the recipient unless expressly stated otherwise; and
- Shairaa cannot control customs clearance timelines or local import requirements.
A customer placing an international order is responsible for ensuring that the product may lawfully be imported into the destination country.
29. Force Majeure
Shairaa will not be responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters;
- Severe weather;
- Fire or flood;
- War, terrorism or civil disturbance;
- Epidemics;
- Government restrictions;
- Strikes;
- Cyberattacks;
- Power or network failure;
- Courier disruption;
- Transport shutdown;
- Supply-chain interruption; or
- Failure of a third-party service provider.
We will make reasonable efforts to minimise the effect of such circumstances and resume normal operations when reasonably possible.
30. Policy Changes
Shairaa may update this Shipping and Delivery Policy to reflect changes in:
- Courier arrangements;
- Delivery coverage;
- Shipping charges;
- Processing timelines;
- Business operations;
- Products and services; or
- Applicable law.
The updated Policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
The policy applicable to an order will ordinarily be the version published when the order was placed, except where a change is required by law or is more favourable to the customer.
