That is why we have introduced The Shairaa 2% Promise.
Every month, Shairaa commits 2% of its monthly Profit After Tax towards direct social-impact initiatives.
Not once a year.
Not only during festivals.
Not only when it is convenient.
Every month.
Why 2%?
We did not want giving to depend on an occasion, a campaign, or a temporary decision.
We wanted to build it into the way Shairaa grows.
By committing a fixed percentage of our profit, our contribution grows with us.
When Shairaa grows, the impact grows too.
What do we support?
The Shairaa 2% Promise may be used towards initiatives such as:
- Providing meals to people in need
- Distributing essential supplies
- Supporting basic necessities in genuine cases of need
- Helping communities during situations where immediate support can make a meaningful difference
- Other direct social-impact initiatives identified by the Shairaa team
The nature of each month’s initiative may vary depending on where we believe the support is most genuinely required.
Direct impact. Wherever possible.
We do not want this initiative to become just another donation entry in our accounts.
Wherever practically possible, Shairaa and its team will directly participate in executing these initiatives.
From arranging food and essentials to packing, transporting, and distributing them, we want to remain close to the impact we are trying to create.
Our objective is simple:
Less distance between the contribution and the person who needs it.
Where third-party support is genuinely required for logistics, safety, permissions, or execution, Shairaa may work with appropriate organisations or service providers while maintaining oversight of the initiative.
Transparency matters.
A promise means very little if nobody knows whether it is being fulfilled.
That is why we intend to share regular updates about The Shairaa 2% Promise.
Where appropriate, our monthly impact updates may include:
Amount committed
How much was allocated towards the initiative.
Where it was used
The city, activity, or cause supported.
What we did
Meals, essentials, supplies, or other forms of support provided.
Impact created
An approximate account of the people or communities reached.
We will always aim to maintain transparency while respecting the privacy and dignity of the people being supported.
Dignity before content.
Social impact should never come at the cost of someone’s dignity.
While we may document our initiatives to maintain transparency and keep our community informed, we do not believe people in difficult circumstances should become marketing material.
We will make reasonable efforts to avoid intrusive filming, unnecessary close-ups, or identifying individuals without appropriate consent.
The impact should be visible. Exploitation should not be.
Your purchase is not the donation.
We want to be very clear about this.
When you purchase from Shairaa, a fixed percentage of your individual order is not being represented as a donation.
The Shairaa 2% Promise is a commitment made by the company from its own monthly Profit After Tax.
In simple words:
Your purchase doesn’t become a donation.
Our profit becomes a responsibility.
How is the 2% calculated?
The commitment is based on 2% of Shairaa’s monthly Profit After Tax, as determined through the company’s internal financial records and accounting methodology.
Because monthly financial numbers may be subject to adjustments, returns, refunds, taxation, accounting entries, and year-end reconciliation, the final figures may be reviewed or adjusted in accordance with the company’s books of accounts and applicable accounting requirements.
Our intention remains unchanged:
To consistently allocate approximately 2% of our post-tax profitability towards meaningful social-impact initiatives every month.
